are there cheap flights from dunnas? i have a friend that could take you to the dunnas airport.

As it stands for a return ticket from Dunedin is $236 from Christchurch is $120 and from Timaru is $228.

Christchurch is definately the pick of the bunch as most Cantabs will concur :)

I'm just trying to tie the cheapest bus from Oamaru to this Hornby place, and then if somehow get from there to the airport..
It's just such a god dam pity that Wellington is so far off the beaten track making it difficult to get there...

must make a mental note not to let you wander the mean streets of brotaki incase you get lost:)

It's easy to get from Hornby to the airport, as they are on the same side of town and both on the outskirts of Christchurch. I would say about a 10 minute drive between the two.

cool, as i'm arriving by bus from Oamaru a drive is no good.

Don't think it takes you right to the terminal, but certainly goes past the airport, if you wanted one that goes to the terminal, you'd probably have to catch one bus into the city and then another back to the airport. Which would take significantly longer, at least an hour.

cheers Daniel, a ten minute drive is about a half hour walk so I'll probably kill some time (or myself) doing the stroll.

Or get yourself to Timaru and grab a ride with Budget Bus Shuttles. They take you right to the Chch Airport terminal.

Those shuttles drive me insane.. you can never get them to ties in with the time of the flight, it's like some bloody great conspiracy..

i managed to find $1 fare on the Naked Bus which is pretty sweet, you can't deny $1 to get from Oamaru to that Hornby place, nearly 300k's is not to be sneezed at, but there isn't a single frigging flight it ties in with unless they'll let me sleep in the bloody airport over night.

you wouldn't think a country as small as this one is actually so bloody hard to get around..

I get lost going to the hospital, I got lost getting to the old auditorium, I got super lost getting to the new one and as for that Mater hospital up on the hill, even with a map i went through half a tank of gas finding it.
I went up to christchurch once, the people said not to worry there's no way you can get lost, I got lost. :(
Last time I was in LA I thought I'd go for a stroll, i left the place i was staying and in order to make sure I found my way back I just kept turning left, should get you home right, i got lost. :( believe me LA is not a good place to get lost in if you look like me.

that's what the man asked for. how do you think we felt as avid coffee drinkers? the coffee pixie nearly had a hearto. and thank god for google we managed to find out what bell tea is and where to get it. i thought it was some fancy tea made out of the dust of old ships bells, well i believe that's what it tastes like.

Its made in an old brick fours story building here in Dunedin, just around the corner from a flat I once had. I could smell the rats and cardboard boxes they make the stuff from every morning. After a while you get used to the smell of formic acid, turpentine and formaldhyde.

Still, it sells.

and apparently they don't feel alive until they have a cup of it.
